The triathlon filled up again in a couple of days - many thanks for your continued support. To add yourself to the waiting list use the online entry link to the right. Last year there were over 100 people on the waiting list and they were all offered a place. When a place is cancelled the entry is offered to the first person on the list, who has 48 hours to respond before the slot is passed to the next on the list.

Taunton Foot Anstey Junior Aquathlon Schools & Clubs Challenge Cup

New for this year is the Schools & Clubs Challenge Cup. The top three scores for each school or club representative competing in any age group will qualify. Bonus points will be awarded for every additional representative competing from the same school or club.

The first place in each category will be awarded 20 points, second place 19 points, third place 18 points etc… if there are more than 20 entries in a category each additional place will receive 1 point. 
Additionally, every entry for a school or club will receive 5 points regardless of their finishing position. 

Eg a school that has 4 entries who finish in 3rd 5th 8th and 9th positions will receive :-

4 x 5 points for entries = 20
3rd place 18 points
5th place 16 points
8th place 13 points

Total for school 20 + 18 + 16 + 15 = 67

In the event of a tie, the fourth highest placed finisher will be considered, then the fifth etc.

I have had a new set of results from the timing people, and these have now been uploaded. I have also amended those swim times that we knew to be incorrect (2 lengths too many). Please check them and let me know if you still have any problems.

Results are now loaded up. These are provisional, I am aware of a few errors (especially in swim times). Please let me know via email if you think your time is wrong, we will try and correct it for you. The database is updated with results, use athlete search to left or results page. Sorry again for the delay in getting these published.

Results news
Many apologies to you all for the lack of results. There was a failure with the chip timing system, which meant we were unable to provide any results on the day. The timing system company now have a set of results but these have not as yet been ratified by us. When we officially receive the results, and have signed them off, we will publish them on this website. Many apologies again, I am as disappointed as you are.

Thank you very much for all the response to the triathlon. As you can tell we filled up in just over 24 hours again. Sorry to all those who missed a place, we are operating a reserve list. this is fully automated, as soon as we get a cancellation, a message will be sent to the person at the top of the list. They then have 48 hours to enter before the entry is passed to the next person on the list. Last year we got all the way through a list of around 100 before the day.

The criteria for making a corporate entry to the Aquathlon have been made easier this year. A company only needs 2 teams which can be across both distances. For more info see here.

Entries for the Taunton Deane Foot Anstey 2011 Aquathlon are now open. Apparently the weather forecast for February 27th is a sunny 22 degrees so make sure you have that high factor sun screen ready! Link to entry forms on the left.

If you think you could do a bit better, have a go at some of the aquathlons at Burnham. First one next weekend more details here.

The race pack and your numbers and start times will be sent out on Monday 22nd February. Just to give you some idea of approximate start times the 1000/10 athletes will start first at 10.00, there will be 4 half hourly wave, the 500/5 waves will start at 11.45ish and there should be 5 waves.
Lets hope it warms up a bit!

As there are now over 100 people on the waiting list, i am going to remove the link to the entry form. Apologies to all those who didn't get in, entry forms for next year will be available on the first Sunday after new year.
If you are on the waiting list it is on a strictly first registered, first to be offered basis. As soon as someone cancels, an email will be sent to the next person on the list. They then have 48 hours to respond, or the place is offered to the next person on the list.

Added an athlete search facility just to the left. This will find any current entries in the aquathlon and the triathlon and also all your previous results. If you entered as part of a team in the aquathlon prefix your team name with 'team '.

Aquathlon completed for this year, thank you all for a fantastic turnout, the biggest field we've had so far. Results now available here, race report to come tomorrow (hopefully!).
Apologies to Simon Cooper and Richard Phillips for getting their results the wrong way round at the presentation - thank you for your good sportmanship.
See some of you for the triathlon in a couple of months, or next year for another aquathlon!
