The Taunton Junior Aquathlon has been running since 2003. We have been very lucky to have been able to use the fantastic grounds at Queens College for the event.
There are 5 age groups which do various distances as below

all ages are taken as at 31st December of the year of the race. (BTF rules) Events usually start at 10.00 with the youngest age groups going first. We aim to make the results available asap after all waves in the age group have completed. There will be a presentation of prizes for the top 3 boys and girls in each group. This usually takes place at around 1pm.

Schools & Clubs Challenge Cup

New for this year is the Schools & Clubs Challenge Cup. The top three scores for each school or club representative competing in any age group will qualify. Bonus points will be awarded for every additional representative competing from the same school or club.

The first place in each category will be awarded 20 points, second place 19 points, third place 18 points etc… if there are more than 20 entries in a category each additional place will receive 1 point. 
Additionally, every entry for a school or club will receive 5 points regardless of their finishing position. 

Eg a school that has 4 entries who finish in 3rd 5th 8th and 9th positions will receive :-

4 x 5 points for entries = 20
3rd place 18 points
5th place 16 points
8th place 13 points

Total for school 20 + 18 + 16 + 15 = 67

In the event of a tie, the fourth highest placed finisher will be considered, then the fifth etc.
