The first Taunton Deane Triathlon took place in 1998. Since then the organising committee has changed some of its members but our commitment to providing high quality, good value events is still there.
We are a partnership between the local triathlon club, Somerset R.C.Tri and the local Authority Sports Development Officer.
The triathlon club members give a huge amount of time in helping to make the events a success. Most of them can be found marshalling at the events as well as racing. They also set up transition the day before and dismantle it after the events. Many of them also turn up on the training day to offer the benefit of their experience to those who are nervous about their first event.
